Glenna Gilbert has joined the Minneapolis office of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. as an associate. Gilbert’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and licensing. She received a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2004, as well as an M.S. in Pharmacology in 2005 and a B.A. in Biology, cum laude, in 1998 from the University of Minnesota.

Margo S. Brownell, Paul D. Chestovich, David J. Polgreen and Emily M. Rome have been elected partners of Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP. Brownell is a member of the litigation group, focusing her practice on insurance coverage and counseling. Chestovich is a member of the business and securities group, representing businesses in a variety of commercial transactional work. Polgreen is also in the firm’s business and securities group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private placements and public offerings of securities and general counseling of corporate clients. Rome is a member of the litigation group, and represents businesses in complex commercial disputes.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Susan Richard Nelson has been appointed to a second eight-year term of office in the U.S. District Court, District of Minnesota. Her new term begins on June 1, 2008.
